    Village Green Playground (Bicentennial Park)

    Description

Village Green Playground is the fully fenced family favourite at the heart of Bicentennial Park in Sydney Olympic Park, set up to suit toddlers, preschoolers, and primary-aged kids without a teen or scooter to be seen. Separate junior and senior play structures, swings galore, a sandpit, and a Liberty Swing for wheelchair users sit a short stroll from the Treillage Tower water-play fountains and the Cafe at Waterview -- making this one of the easier "we are here for the day" picks in Sydney's west.

    Why We Love It

    • Separate junior and senior structures mean little ones get the bead panels, slides, and shop cubby while big kids tackle the flying fox, twist climber, and wobble walk.

    • Liberty Swing in its own gated area gives wheelchair users a turn without queuing at the regular swings.

    • Water-play fountains a short walk away at the Treillage Tower for easy cool-down on hot days -- bring a change of clothes.

    • Mostly shaded with shade sails and mature trees, plus picnic shelters nearby for sit-down lunches.

    • Cafe at Waterview within the park for proper coffee and lunch with dog-friendly outdoor seating.

    • Refreshed in 2018 -- the soft-fall surfaces and equipment are newer than they look.
