    Description

The Entertainment Quarter Playground in Moore Park is a shaded outdoor playground right in the middle of Sydney's go-to family entertainment precinct. With a multi-storey climbing structure, musical instruments and a toddler slide — plus cinemas, restaurants and bowling just steps away — it's the kind of place where a quick play turns into an entire afternoon.

    Why We Love It

    • Multi-storey climbing structure with slides and tunnels that gives bigger kids plenty to explore, plus beams and wooden poles for those who like to scramble.

    • Musical steel pipes let kids bang out their own tunes — a creative touch you don't find at every playground.

    • Dedicated toddler slide so the little ones have something age-appropriate without competing with the bigger kids on the main structure.

    • Shade sails partly cover the play area taking the edge off the Moore Park sun, with rubber flooring underfoot for softer landings.

    • Surrounded by family-friendly dining with over a dozen restaurants and cafes in the precinct, from quick bites to a proper sit-down.

    • Easy to extend into a full day out with Hoyts Cinema, Strike Bowling, EQ Markets (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and plenty of open space all within the precinct.

    Tips

    • Not fenced: The playground is not enclosed, so keep a close eye on runners and younger kids.

    • Event day parking: When there's an event at the SCG or SFS, parking jumps to a $30 flat rate — but spending $10+ at any EQ venue and validating in-store brings it back to casual rates.

    • Car park height limit: The multi-storey car park has a 2.1m clearance, so leave the roof box at home.

    • Market days: EQ Markets run every Wednesday and Saturday 8am-2pm with fresh produce, gourmet food and artisan stalls. Le Marche French Markets take over the 1st Sunday of each month.

    • Public transport: Moore Park light rail station (L2/L3 lines) is a short walk away with services every 5-15 minutes from Circular Quay.

    • BYO water bottles: Five free water fountains are dotted around the precinct.
