    Description

Taronga Zoo Sydney is a world-class wildlife adventure in Mosman that pairs 4,000 animals with the best harbour views you’ll ever see from a playground. It’s a sprawling vertical challenge for your hamstrings, designed to let kids burn off every ounce of energy while you navigate a mix of exotic encounters and essential coffee stops.

    Why We Love It

    • Sky Safari cable car which provides a strategic, elevated break for tired legs while offering a bird's-eye view of the elephants and the Opera House.

    • The Farm Yard water play featuring gears and sprinklers, perfect for cooling down while you grab a "survival juice" from the nearby cafe and take five on the provided seating.

    • Lemur Forest Adventure where a multi-level climbing structure is cleverly integrated near the lemur walkthrough, keeping older kids (ages 8–14) challenged and engaged.

    • Iconic daily shows like the high-energy Seals for the Wild and the Free Flight Bird show, which provide a 20-minute window for everyone to sit still and be genuinely entertained.

    • Endless refuelling stations including the Taronga Food Market and Saltwater Bistro, ensuring you're never more than a few minutes away from a hot meal or a necessary caffeine hit.

    • Wildlife Express train that offers a much-needed $5 ~one-way~ shortcut uphill, effectively silencing the "my legs are broken" complaints that inevitably start at the bottom of the hill.

    • Tactically placed picnic areas and parent rooms throughout the park, making it easy to manage the inevitable snack-and-nappy cycle without losing your spot in the zoo.
