Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures

Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures
Description
Glenworth Valley is one of Australia's biggest privately-owned outdoor adventure properties: 3,000 acres of bush, creek and trail just 20 minutes from Gosford on the Central Coast. Guided horse rides through real wilderness are the signature, but you can also book kayaking, quad biking, abseiling and laser skirmish, so a family can split up by age and nerve and still meet back at the creek for a picnic.
Why We Love It
Real bush trail riding from age 7 the two-hour guided rides wind through valley, forest and creek crossings, and the guides happily take first-timers.
Lead pony rides for the littlies kids aged 3 to 7 get their own turn on a led pony while the big ones do the proper trail.
One property, many adventures horse riding, kayaking, quad biking, abseiling and laser skirmish all run on the same site, so mixed-age groups never have to compromise on one activity.
Creek and picnic time built in a day visitor pass lets non-riders paddle, swim and picnic by the creek while the rest of the family is out on the trail.
Helmets sorted and weight rules clear Australian-standard helmets are provided for riders, with a firm 100kg rider weight limit so you know in advance who can ride.
On-site kiosk with hot food and coffee to fuel your adventures.

Tips
Book ahead: horse rides and kayaking sell out on weekends and school holidays, so reserve your activity online rather than relying on a walk-up.
Day visitor pass is not free anymore: even just to picnic, BBQ or swim by the creek you now need a Day Trip and Picnic Pass (from $16pp), so factor it into the budget.
Dress for the saddle: fully enclosed shoes and long pants are essential for riding - it is real bush trail riding, not a pony paddock.
Check the 100kg rider limit: the horse riding weight cap of 100kg includes clothing and gear, so confirm before you book if it is close.
Bundle to save: horse-riding-plus-kayaking combo packages cost less than booking separately and easily fill a whole day in the valley.
